Namibia has one of the lowest life expectancies due to lack of medical care.
Clinic On Wheels is a mobile medical clinic. The clinic will help people in Havana (Windhoek) by collecting and distributing medication, and by providing medical services for the people who do not have much physical mobility.
- If people need someone to collect their medication, they can call, SMS us or e-mail us for our assistance.
- All they have to do is provide their doctors’ prescriptions or their health clinic passport card
- We will offer this service for a small fee of N$50 (which is approximately 4 USD).
ServiceSuch fees will be used for transportation (gas) and additional costs for the pharmacy or medical centers, as required. We will also have a first aid kit on the wheel to be prepared for emergencies. This project will start with four members, but as the clinic grows and/or the demand gets higher, we will get more people on a voluntary base and later have permanent employees. People in other parts of Windheok can then also call us regarding their everyday health issues. With this service, they do not have to worry how far away they live from the hospital, as we will be just a phone call away. The health of the people of Windheok is our priority. We will have a ‘first aid kid on the move’ in case of emergencies, also plan of carrying high blood pressure kit and diabetes kit to take preventative measures for more serious illnesses. Please let us help the ones in need in Windheok, as we cannot start the project without funds. For now, a smart phone and start-up capital is needed.
Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions for us to make Clinic on Wheels possible.
